Ruff&Cut's first retail store venture, Glittering Conscience is a socially and ecologically responsible pop-up store carrying ethical jewelry by Ruff&Cut, Klido and Iceing on Top, upcycled handbags by Arm Candy for Nahui Ollin, organic and recycled clothing by NatureVsFuture, Himane, Platinum Dirt and GothamGear, and other fine gifts such as soaps, cards, wallets and body care products. Founded by Wade Watson of Ruff&Cut, Danny Bitran of Arm Candy, Nina Valenti or NatureVsFuture, and Kate Harrison of The Green Bride Guide, Glittering Conscience seeks to only carry the finest products guaranteed made abiding by their high standards for fair trade, socially responsible creation and eco-friendliness. The store opened on Black Friday 2009 and has since received a wide and positive reception. The shop features reused store fixtures and jewelry stands made from hemp. Glittering Conscience has also donated proceeds from past events to charities supporting communities in Africa.
