Our goal is to create an invisible cord that ties the land and the people who bear the stones to those who wear them with singular conscience—a spiritual cat’s cradle, if you like, of beauty & rawness, of source & provenance, and of purity & distinction, all draw-stringed together.

Why did we start Ruff&Cut?

Because we believe that life is not a franchise, and that shades of the same are bad for the soul.

Because we believe that beauty and conscience can make exquisite babies together.

Because we believe that, ironically, in this ever more connected world of ours, we are drifting further and further away from the things that once grounded and enriched us—the very things that mark us out as truly special.

Because we believe that, like intellect, conscience should be worn lightly.

And because we wanted to do something with those beliefs.

So we chose to embrace them and realize them in a collection of signature pieces made from precious and semiprecious stones and metals of fire and luster—a collection like no other, each piece based on what we like to call our “Barefoot Heiress” approach.
